Camp NaNo – Day 19

Previous totals: 977 sentences; 15,952 words

Day 19

  • Goal: 94 sentences (approximately 1,4105 words)
  • Actual: 80 sentences; 1,128 words
  • Written: 23 sentences for Day 93 (Apr 3), 35 sentences for Day 94 (Apr 4), 22 sentences for Day 94 (Apr 5)
  • Notes: Didn’t hit my goal for the day, but I got pretty darn close and that’s a lot considering how I’ve felt the last week. Mostly, I’m happy I wrote throughout the day and not just the last 40 minutes. That’s improvement.
  • Total sentences for the month: 1,057 of 2,252 (47%)
  • Total words for the month: 17,080 (including rewrites)
  • Actual “days” finished: 42 of 67 (63%)

Six Sentence Sample

“Freedom to overtax your kingdoms and start pointless wars over petty issues like who gets to claim purple as their official state color? You lost so much,” Gil said, rolling his eyes. “The Baron charges a very reasonable tax and in return maintains the roads, keeps the air safe from pirates, and settles your ridiculous disputes fairly, and you get to maintain rule over your own territories. What more do you want?”

Tarvek blinked at him in surprise and a touch of admiration at his poise and dedication then pulled himself together with a shake of his head. “You know, I was just joking about you sounding like the Baron,” he said, “but you really do sound like him.”
